Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became a morning news anchor on WCBD TV and was an investigative reporter. O'Dell's stories in Charleston about the police's leniency when it comes to DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. This led to the state government imposing more stringent regulations in these cases. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. Following her stint at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. Then she became a part of Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. O'Dell anchors the main newscast at Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed in NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She co-hosted both the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
